3 Famous Dirt Bike Riders

Travis Pastrana

He began riding motorcycles at 4 years old and is now  the most famous person ever to have mounted a dirt bike.

Travis is  lighthearted, friendly and easygoing he is. He is always smiling and all he really seems to care about is having fun (while pulling of ridiculously dangerous stunts).

He Graduated with a 4.0 average from Maryland University and ran his own reality t.v show, Nitro Circus.

In 1998 when Travis was just 14 , he came up short on a 120ft jump at the Tripple Crown event in Lake Havasu there he landed so hard that his spine seperated from his pelvis which put him in a coma for 2 weeks, and a wheelchair for the following 3 months.

On June 10th 2003, after meeting some new people out at dinner that night in Annapolis, Travis offered to take one of them, Matt Bigos.Travis lost control of his car at over 100 miles p/hour and disintegrated his car over an oak tree. Travis was thrown from the flipped vehicle, sustaining only minor wounds to his hand while Matt  trapped and crushed in the passenger side with his seat belt on, he was told by doctors he would never walk again. Matt, being an athlete, did walk and compete again, but Travis even now has a guilt of that accident.

At 16 he won the US MX Championship with a broken thumb, wrist and ankle.

A broken collarbone, torn ACL in his left knee,9 surgeries in his left knee, 8 in his right knee, 2 on his back, 1 on his thumb, broken tibia, broken fibula, surgery on his shoulder, wrists and elbow, multiple concussions, and so on are on his list of injuries.

He has around 50 motorcycles in his garage. J.E.A.L.O.U.S. , his own Motocross track, supercross track, freestyle park, indoor BMX park, a pit bike track.

James Stewart

James Stewart is known as the "Tiger Woods of supercross" he became the first African-American to reach the top of this sport.

He was introduced to dirt bike riding by his father who also raced motocross. He entered his first MX race at the grand old age of four and was sponsored by age 7.

His garage is not only loaded with dirt bikes but it also contains a large number of incredibly sexy, luxury automobiles and classic cars.
Forming the back bone of James's success is his close, loving family. His mum (Sonya), and James Stewart Sr are the people responsible for getting James involved in motocross, and they continue to manage and support him today.
In the earlier days they struggled to pay the bills and even slept in their car eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches while they were traveling and racing because they couldn't afford a hotel.

When asked what he enjoys doing when he's not racing dirt bikes, James Stewart reply's that he likes to chill out, ride his cows, play golf, mountain bike and go jet skiing.

BUGATTI VEYRON

ORIGIN

The Volkswagen Group in 1998 purchased the trademark rights on the former car manufacturer Bugatti to revive the brand. The Volkswagen group started with Bugatti EB118 with a concept of 18 cylinder cars.

At the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, the first study of the Veyron was presented.[11] At the time, the name of the concept car was "Bugatti Veyron EB 18.4," and it was equipped with a 3-bank W18 engine instead of the 2-bank W16 engine of the production version. While the three previous prototypes had been styled by Giugiaro, the Veyron was designed by the Volkswagen stylists.

The Volkswagen group decided to produce cars in year 2001. It released it's first prototype in August 2003.

The Veyron EB 16.4 is named after Pierre Veyron, a Bugatti, development engineer, test driver and company race driver and the "16.4" refers to the engine's 16 cylinders and 4 turbochargers.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2

The Kawasaki Ninja H2

Speculated to be the fastest bike yet and designs inspired from Formula One Racing cars, The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is going to give a very tough competition to the players in market.

With supercharged technology which  is so sophisticated that it has been banned from international motorcycle racing since 1946. It has engine that uses aerospace technology, Ninja H2 is expected to blast from 0 to 100km/h in less than 2.5 seconds.

Kenichi Hashiba, the managing director of Kawasaki Motors Australia said "When it comes to performance the Ninja H2 is “a whole new world”.

“The potential buyer will probably not spend too much time debating in their head whether or not to buy it,” “They will feel the desire inside and act on those feelings.”said Mr Hashiba.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is expected to go on sale at priced about $30,000 and will be available to anyone who has completed their learner and provisional periods on their motorcycle licence.

“There are already motorcycles on the road that can accelerate at racing car levels and many that can do more than 300km/h,” ,“We don’t anticipate higher than normal claims rates with this motorcycle compared to other high-powered sports bikes on the road,” said Mr McDonald.said Swann Insurance research manager Robert McDonald.

The company itself admits the Ninja H2 is “not for everyone, nor is it designed to be”.The brakes are bigger than those fitted to a Holden Commodore V8 sedan.
