FIRST INDIAN CAR


The Ambassador was the first car to be made in India and was once a status symbol.

An automobile manufactured by Hindustan Motors of India based on the Morris Oxford series III model, made by Morris Motors Limited at Cowley, Oxford in the United Kingdom.

The automobile was in production from 1958 to 2014 

When Maruti launched its 800 hatchback, Ambassador started lossing it's dominance in market.

It has been used by politicians and bureaucrates from a very long time.

Also, the car is used as taxi is various Indian cities.

The Ambassador was once called as "King of roads"
